Job Title: Church planter
Length of Service: Short-term and long-term (1 month to 2+ years)
Ministry vision / purpose: The Karis Team vision is to raise up a spirit-filled local church network amplifying the good news to every Karis community.
General Description: Engage in language and culture to build relationships in a Muslim community. These relationships lead to opportunities to share the gospel and disciple people. You would also assist with humanitarian efforts at the education center and other projects; engage in team activities, strategic planning and prayer times.
Requirements:
- Spiritual maturity
- The ability to work with others on a team
- A willingness to learn
- ESL training is not required but would be helpful
Field Background: The Karis field works with a Muslim people group in Central Asia. With evangelical Christians making up 0.1% of the population, there are millions of unreached people who have never had the opportunity to respond to the gospel.
