NORTHEAST ASIA | Private School Teacher

Job Title: Private School Teacher

Length of Service:  1+ years

Ministry Vision / Purpose: Teachers are uniquely positioned to be a light to colleagues (expat and local) and children

General Description:  98% of people in NE Asia do not have a relationship with Christ. Teachers have a unique opportunity to build transformational relationships with co-workers, students, and their families. This is primarily an evangelism and discipleship role, allowing you to influence expat teachers who will eventually serve in other countries or the youth who will likely be the future leaders of the country.
  • Teach (full-time job)
  • After first year, teachers can invest in other ministries in their areas of interest in their free time (might include environmental justice, economic development, youth ministry, anti-trafficking work, disability-advocacy, etc.)

Requirements:
  • College degree
  • Teaching License and/or MA is a plus

Field Background:  Northeast Asia is a developing country with fewer than 3% of believers with a general openness to discuss spiritual things. Government corruption and systems make it difficult for people to get out of poverty. It is a creative-access country that is somewhat isolated but generally safe.
