About the Waha Land Experience:
Come join us in ministering to the "Waha" People in the United States for NEXT Week this March 2023! During NEXT Week you will get a taste of what a NEXT internship experience could be. You will get to jump in on ministry and community activities reaching the growing Arab and refugee population. Come join what is already happening here by teaching English to new English language learners, tutoring refugee kids, learning useful tools for connecting with people of the Muslim faith, and eating some really great Middle Eastern food! Come experience the unique Waha community and learn how to make a lasting impact in your own community back home!

About the Czech Experience:
Join us in 2023 for Spring in Brno, Czech Republic! We’ll share an active week together that will highlight pieces of what a full NEXT internship includes. We will explore the Culture of Czech along with having interactions with a variety of Communities in our modern European city. You will experience language learning and be able to interact with locals through English Conversation Club, our teen group, and Bible groups. You will also interact with the Brno team and hear how God is at work in a variety of ways.  This trip will most definitely inspire you to consider new ways God can use your unique Character and Calling to impact the world around you. See you in the Spring!

FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions:

What will I do on a NEXT Week trip?
NEXT week will give you the chance to experience a new culture, serve with a team of committed disciple makers, and participate in the Great Commission.  You will connect with the local community as you partner with educational projects, prayer walk, and learn a new language.  You will be equipped with tools both to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus and make disciples of Jesus.  And you'll have some adventures along the way too! [Day-to-day schedules and events will vary for each location because ministry efforts are contextualized to each culture.]

Is the COVID vaccine needed?
COVID-19 protocol varies by site and is subject to change as travel restriction are constantly being updated by each country. Currently, to go to the Waha Land site in the United States the vaccine is recommended but not required; to enter most international sites, the vaccine may be required, but not always. If you want more info on this, email us at

How do I raise money to go?
We know that the cost of an experience like this can feel overwhelming! But we firmly believe it's worth it and our team is here to help every step of the way. We offer an extensive Fundraising Guide to help you get started, and we also offer 1-on-1 coaching as needed. Some participants self-fund or work an extra job to save up money. We firmly believe that if God is calling you to go, He will always provide the means to do so!

I'm in high school but will be 18 soon. Can I go?
Anyone 18 or older by the start of a NEXT Week trip can go.

Do I need a passport?
If you are a US citizen, you do not need a passport to serve at a U.S. site, but you do need a passport if you are traveling to another country outside of the U.S. If you are not a US citizen, you need a passport for all of our locations.

What happens after I apply?
After filling out the short application, you will be contacted by the NEXT team via email. You will need to complete a background check and a brief interview with the Team Leader as well. If you are accepted to a place on the team, we will start orientation calls/training, team building, and fundraising with you.

Will there be training?
Yes! We believe that healthy, impactful short-term trips require good training and debrief for participants. Before the experience, you will have training sessions with your whole team, and when you arrive on site, you will have more in-depth and culture-specific training by the long-term workers and leaders.

I've never been on a mission trip before. Is this for me?
Yes! Whether you've done cross-cultural ministry before or this is your first experience, a NEXT Week trip is designed with you in mind. Our trained team leaders and local ministry leaders will walk with you through every step. You will be serving alongside a team and will be learning together with them no matter what your experience level is.

Who is leading the trip?
Each NEXT Week trip has 2 Team Leaders as well as the long-term workers at each site.
